Amal Foundation of Malaysia recently attended the 3rd Annual General Meeting of the Asia Humanitarian (SEAHUM) Committtee held in Yogyakarta, Indonesia on 21st to 23rd February 2019.
The meeting gathered various activists and representatives from NGOs around South East Asia, as well as academicians.
The meeting agreed to support Myanmar Fact-Finding Team formed by the United Nations regarding the conflict in Myanmar and requests that the UN follow up on their findings to bring the responsible perpetrators to justice.
The committee also urged all humanitarian institutions not to forget about the plight of Rohingya.
The participants of the program expressed their willingness to support the redevelopment of the newly elected autonomous region in Southern Philippines. Also the committee will continue its involvement in the humanitarian assistance post-natural disasters across borders.
